Pets

Due to Consortium policies, we only transfer canines and felines.

It is strictly forbidden to leave the country, of species of animals considered as wild fauna, such as parrots, macaws, parakeets, monkeys, native ornamental birds such as cardinals and turpiales.

Requirements for the transfer of pets:

  • Current National Rabies Vaccination Certificate with a period of no more than 1 year.

  • Unique mobilization guide issued by the National Institute of Comprehensive Agricultural Health (INSAI).

  • Large kennel so that the pet can move, sit and stand.

  • The respective confirmation of the service must be requested in the reservation.

  • Only a maximum of 2 animals are allowed in the cabin per flight.

  • Pets traveling in the cabin must have a soft Kennel, which must be consistent, ventilated, with a waterproof and safe bottom.

  • Pets traveling in the hold must have Kennels, which comply with aeronautical specifications, must contain a security seal and be strong enough.

  • In Panama, only pets are allowed from Monday to Friday; Saturdays, Sundays and holidays is not allowed.

  • In Curacao, the transfer of pets in the hold or in the cabin is not allowed, it also applies to emotional companions and guide dogs.

Cockpit emotional support pet (PECT)

The transport of emotional support pets in the cabin will only be accepted in soft, spill-proof, bag-type containers that are suitable for their size (30 cm high, 30 cm wide and 40 cm long), which can be easily positioned under the passenger seat.

Requirements

  • Current Health Certificate, issued by a registered veterinarian, signed and stamped.

  • The maximum weight allowed is 6kg, including the soft kennel.

  • Unique mobilization guide issued by the National Institute of Comprehensive Agricultural Health (INSAI).

  • The emotional support pet must be inside the Kennel throughout the flight.

  • The respective confirmation of the service must be requested in the reservation.

  • A maximum of 2 pets allowed in the cabin per flight.

  • As established in the Official Gazette of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela dated May 18, 2016 Nº6228.


Article 28 "When the certificate of the condition of a person with a disability indicates disabilities that denote inadequacies and requires the accompaniment and transit with trained animals which must be certified by the authority with competence in the matter, these animals will be transported in the cabin without charges additional ".

Restriction of boarding of brachycephalic pets in the hold:

Brachycephalic animals include dogs and cats that have excessively short snouts, flat, and proportionately very wide heads. For the safety of these pets we cannot transport some breeds of dogs and cats in the hold of the plane since they are at a greater risk of suffering from heat stroke and respiratory disorders when exposed to stress and high temperatures If your pet is one of them, only you can take it with you on board as long as it meets the conditions for cabin transport, the breeds are as follows:
